The certified doctors serving customers on the JustAnswer platform aren’t allowed to write prescriptions for customers due to regulatory reasons. (Doctors are only allowed to have a conversation with customers to answer questions on the platform.) My team set out to discover whether partnering with a third-party pharmacy services company would improve customer retention.
After interviewing customers and gauging interest through user testing, we developed a prototype the new health category customers saw immediately after conversion.
In four quick screens, we educated customers on their new pharmacy benefit, while they waited for their answer from the doctor.
Our work quickly proved that customers do stay longer, if they are presented with a pharmacy benefit. We were able to increase both lifetime value (LTV) and retention.
